P. T. Barnum was a rank amatuer

The press conference put on by President Barak Hussein Obama was a smashing success. The east room big-top was filled to capacity with fawning media, their wide-eyed stares only slightly more evident than their racing pulses and tingling legs.

Ring Master Obama’s introduction of his 3.6 Trillion dollar budget proposal didn’t even cause a ripple of response. He re-stated the lie about a “tax cut to 95% of working families that will appear in people’s paychecks by April 1st”, and then later said he was firmly committed to allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire. The Obamasiah giveth, then he taketh away.

“We will recover from this recession,” he said. “But it will take time, it will take patience and it will take an understanding that when we all work together — when each of us looks beyond our own short-term interests to the wider set of obligations we have to each other — that’s when we succeed.”

“At the end of the day, the best way to bring our deficit down in the long run is not with a budget that continues the very same policies that have led to a narrow prosperity and massive debt,” the president said. “It’s with a budget that leads to broad economic growth by moving from an era of borrow and spend to one where we save and invest.”

Remember, President Barak Hussein Obama feels that taking more of your hard earned money away is an incentive for you to “save and invest”.

Apparently proposing a budget that will create a minimum $7 Trillion dollar deficit ($9.3 Trillion by CBO estimates) is magically going to “cut the deficit in half by the end of [his] first term”. That $7 BILLION dollars sure appears to uneducated me to be slightly more than the $1.3 Trillion dollar deficit that was “inherited from them”. You could cut the condescension with a knife when he made that comment. It had such a smarmy ‘I can run up as much debt as I want since there was debt left to me, so don’t ever talk about it again’ tone.

When asked about the bonuses paid to AIG employees and why he waited several days to comment on the situation. (Remember the press conference where he had to pause his comments because he was so angry he couldn’t speak?)

Still stating that he was “angry about the bonuses” paid to AIG employees, President Barak Hussein Obama said he waited to comment “because I like to know what I’m talking about before I speak”. He completely ignored the fact that the bonuses were common knowledge and specifically protected and authorized in the ‘stimulus’(spending) bill by the amendment that was put in there by Rep. Christopher Dodd (D-Conn). “Angry”? Yes! Probably because they got caught. AGAIN!

President Barak Hussein Obama also said “Bankers and executives on Wall Street need to realize that enriching themselves on the taxpayer’s dime is inexcusable”. So how do all those Politicians become soooooo rich while in office? I don’t even need to expound on that one. The hypocrisy is stunning!!!!!!!

Four points were made over and over in the speech and answers during the press conference. President Barak Hussein Obama wants to focus on

1 – Cutting Health Care Costs – but has proposed the largest government takeover of the health care industry in our country’s history.

2 – Energy, less oil, more green – massive spending on economically non-viable means of energy production.

3 – Education – ‘better education for our children’ translates into pouring more money into the union controlled indoctrination mills, which provides no actual benefit to the children.

4 – Deficit – massive increases in spending will somehow reduce the deficit. See above.

More of the same old platitudes and snake-oil from the left, tax and spend, increase the deficit, let the next generation (or two, or three) deal with the bill. As long as they can solidify their power and move the country steadily down the road to socialism, it’s all good. When have you EVER seen a government program run efficiently? EVER seen one cut back? Eliminated? No, they just continue to grow and consume more money whether they work or not.

Watch carefully! We are being dragged down a road that will be nearly impossible to return from the journey.

By the way…….. Did anyone notice the apparently comatose Helen Thomas in the front row? Maybe someone should check her pulse.
